San Diego House Rabbit Society is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, spay/neuter, and adoption of companion rabbits in San Diego County. We have been in San Diego County for over 20 years.

Please leave a message and a volunteer will return your call. **If you can leave your email address, that's even better. We are faster at getting back to emails (because of 24 hr availability) than at returning calls (limited by work hours, etc.)

Want to adopt?
First, visit our Adoption web page to learn about bringing a companion rabbit into your home. Get housing, litter box training and care advice. If you feel a rabbit would be a good match for your family, please complete our Adoption Application Form. Have questions, contact us at adopt@sandiegorabbits.org.

Interested in volunteering?

Visit us on Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 4805 Mercury Street, Suite J. We're at the corner of Mercury and Ronson Roads, in Kearny Mesa. San Diego HRS volunteers cannot diagnose your rabbit via email or telephone as we are NOT licensed veterinarians. Please see our list of rabbit-experienced vets in San Diego County, to get the exam and treatment your rabbit needs. For referrals email: medical@sandiegorabbits.org.

Thinking of finding a new home for your rabbit?
San Diego HRS does not have a shelter so we are unable to take owner-relinquished or "found" rabbits unless they were originally adopted from us.
