Nathan and Suzie
were adopted by the Bryson family and have a wonderful new home!
Julianne contacted HRS when thinking of adopting a rabbit companion
for her family. She visited some adoption websites and studied
the rabbit care information from San Diego HRS. After deciding a
rabbit might be a good choice for her family, she arranged to meet
Nathan at a recent adoption day. Nathan loved Julianne and her
boys, Makoa and Koji. He enjoyed their attention and the
wonderful petting! But, Julianne is a big believer in animals
having a friend of their own kind, and we agree! So Nathan
went back to his foster home to be bonded to a bunny girl. He met
little Suzie and they really liked each other. They were bonded in a
few days and ready for their new home. Many thanks to the
Bryson family for adopting from HRS and giving our sweet foster
bunnies, Nathan & Suzie a wonderful new home. We know the
bunnies are going to be very happy with their new family and all the
attention they will receive.

Little Jake found a wonderful new
bunny mom and home with Brooke, after she contacted HRS to find a
new bunny friend. Brooke had been thinking of adopting a
rabbit and mentioned it to one of her co-workers, HRS volunteer John
Koivula, who was more than happy to share information about caring
for house rabbits. She studied the materials John gave her and
spent time on the Internet finding out more. After visiting
the HRS adoption website, Brooke saw Jake and felt he might be a
good match for her. After talking with Brooke we agreed!
So an introduction was arranged and it was a match!
Congratulations to little Jake on finding a wonderful new home and
many thanks to Brooke for adopting from HRS. We wish you many
happy years together!

Little Bettina found her perfect "bunny slave"
when she met Tia at our most recent adoption day. Tia did a
lot of research in advance and knew she wanted a bunny with a little
more "attitude." We thought Bettina would be perfect!
Tia met several wonderful foster bunnies, but as we guessed they
might, Tia and Bettina got along very well and each really enjoyed
meeting the other. Congratulations to Bettina on finding
her wonderful new home after so much time in the shelter and foster
care, and thank you Tia for contacting HRS to adopt. We
wish you many wonderful years together.

Pretty girl, Bonnie, found a
wonderful new home and sweet companion boy, Shadow. Recent HRS
adopter, Kelie, adopted little Shadow (on right) last fall from HRS.
She was remarking to a volunteer how he was pretty shy and she hoped
he might come out of his shell a little more with time. The
volunteer suggested she find Shadow an outgoing, social companion.
Enter Bonnie! The volunteer was fostering Bonnie and invited
Kelie to meet her and bring Shadow by for a visit. The plan
took shape, the bunnies met, and the rest is history! The buns
are in love and Bonnie's sweet and friendly nature is rubbing off on
shy boy, Shadow. Thank you, Kelie, for adopting again from
HRS. And, thanks to volunteer Alison Giese for suggesting the match!

Silly boy, Skipper, found a great
new home with Bianca and Kevin. They contacted HRS because
they missed the sound of little bunny feet padding around their
home. A long time bunny mom, Bianca had good experience with
bunnies and was looking for a foster who might have been waiting
quite a while for a new home. They visited an HRS adoption day
where they met several foster rabbits and really made the connection
with little Skipper. Congratulations, Skipper, on your
wonderful new home! Many thanks to Bianca and Kevin for
adopting from HRS.

Little Daniel - now Tobey -
found a wonderful new friend in older boy, Chopper. Tobey (the
black & white bunny) is an older boy whose family relinquished him
to the shelter and he is 9 years old! So sad....
We were so happy to have the opportunity to introduce Tobey to
another older bun boy, Chopper. The boys get along great, love to
hang out together in Chopper's "castle" (see right photo) and run
around the family room. Their mom and dad, Tamara & Scott, are
so happy to have these two little older boys to snuggle and sit on
their laps to watch TV. Many thanks to Tamara & Scott for
adopting from HRS and for giving sweet Tobey a loving new home.
He really deserves to be pampered in his older years.

Pretty girl, Lela (right) found
her new home at a recent HRS adoption day. Rocky and his
parents contacted HRS when they felt it was time to find Rocky a
bunny friend. With the impending arrival of a new baby in the
family, Rocky's mom and dad wisely made the decision to get him a
companion to love, so he wouldn't be lonely. Rocky met several
lovely bunny girls but sweet and shy Lela was the best choice for
him. She is settled into her new home now, with lots of run
time and attention which she really loves. She and Rocky are very
bonded and looking forward to many wonderful years together.
Many thanks to Jim and Eva for adopting from HRS!

Lucky bunnies, Winston and Michelle,
found their happy new home at a recent HRS adoption day. New
bunny mom, Christina, contacted HRS to adopt a rabbit
companion. She was specifically interested in Winston (left)
but when she and her fiancé met Michelle, they couldn't decide
between them. So they adopted both. What a great idea!
This actually worked out very well because Winston and Michelle are
siblings and get along really well. Many thanks to Christina for
adopting from HRS; we wish you many happy years with your new bunny
friends.

Pretty girl, Keebler, is happy in
her new home with bunny boyfriend, Simon. It was "love at
first sight" for Simon and Keebler, at a recent HRS adoption day.
Simon lost his previous companion a few months ago and his mom, Jan,
contacted HRS (where he was originally adopted) to help in the
search for a bunny girl. We arranged for Simon to meet several
nice girls and clearly, Keebler was to be his new love.
Keebler began grooming Simon the moment they met and it hasn't
stopped! Jan says they got along just fine when they got home,
acting like love birds ever since. How wonderful for all! We
wish Keebler and her new companion, Simon, many happy years together
and thank Jan for adopting again from HRS.

Little Bunnypenny (left) has a
wonderful new home with handsome lop boy, Jack. Jack and his
mom have been looking for a new girlfriend for awhile. He met
some bunny girls at the shelter but they scared him. So he
came to HRS to meet some girls who would be sweet to him.
Jack met several nice girls but Bunnypenny was the sweetest.
She really warmed up to him! Now home, Jack & Jill (Bp's new
name) are going through the bonding process but coming along very
nicely. Jill enjoys her new home and really loves the
attention from her new mom and boyfriend, Jack. Many thanks to
Jack, and his mom Brooke, for adopting from HRS and giving our bunny
girl a wonderful new home.

with their children, especially their younger daughter. The
bunnies have a nice big
living area with plenty of toys, and they are having a lot of
fun. Many thanks to Rajeev and his family for adopting from HRS.

his wonderful new home! Robbie had been in foster care for a
long time and was waiting for just the 'right' home for him.

HRS to meet Robbie and it was a perfect match! Robbie is now

attention. We are so glad that he's found his 'forever' home.

recently adopted by Trudi and Robert. After attending HRS'
"Bunny 101" class, and studying about the care of rabbits on the
web, Robert & Trudi felt a rabbit would be a great family companion
for them. They contacted HRS to adopt and we introduced them
to a few bunnies to find the right match for them. Little
Mikey really enjoyed interacting with Trudi and Robert, even sitting
in their laps for pets. He's now in his wonderful new home
with a roomy x-pen, Cottontail Cottage, and plenty of toys and
attention. Many thanks to Trudi & Robert for adopting from

Yay for China! After 2
years in foster care, she's found her perfect new home. Blanca
contacted HRS when she decided to adopt a new rabbit companion.
After reading about China on our adoption page, Blanca "knew" she
was the right bunny for her. Once they met, it was very clear that
the feeling was mutual. China was a bit shy at first but then she
got a little more comfortable and was willing to sit on Blanca's lap
and be held. We are excited about China's great new home where
she'll be an 'only child' and get all the attention. She has a great
x-pen setup with lots of toys and all her favorite things.
Thank you, Blanca, for giving our China a wonderful new home and for
adopting from HRS.

Pretty girl, Leilani, found a
wonderful new home as companion to little bunny boy, Muffin.
Poor Muffin had recently lost his bunny companion and was hoping for
a new friend. He came to an HRS adoption day to meet new girls and,
as you can see from the photos above, Leilani was very sweet to him.
It has taken Leilani and Muffin a while to become completely
comfortable with each other, but things are going wonderfully now.
They eat their meals together, snuggle and groom, and spend a lot of
quality time with each other. Many thanks to Shane and Neiko
for opening their hearts and home to Leilani. We wish Muffin &
Leilani many happy years together.

Anna! She found a wonderful new friend and family at our

several websites, some books, and took the time to learn all they
could about caring for a house rabbit. Then, they contacted
HRS to find out about adopting and making a home for a rescued
bunny. At our recent adoption day they met several darling
foster bunnies, but it was clear that little Anna was the perfect

pleased to hear that Frosty is settling into his new home and he and
Sweet Pea are becoming a bonded pair. That's great news for both
bunnies! Many thanks to Wanda for taking little Frosty into
her heart and her home. We wish Frosty and his new family many
wonderful years together!

Lovely girl, Chelsea (right),
found a wonderful new home with the Davis family at our October
adoption day. Handsome boy, Oreo, was looking for a new bunny
girl so his family contacted HRS, where they had adopted him a few
years ago. He came to meet our bunny girls and Chelsea was
clearly the favorite. The Davis' had experience bonding
bunnies so they wisely took it slowly, letting the bunnies take time
to get to know each other. They recently reported "success"
and the bunnies are now a happily bonded pair. Yay for
