Please complete our Adoption Application Form if you are interested in adopting.

Please contact us well in advance of adoption days to be given an appointment to meet adoptable rabbits. Also, we will gladly arrange a meeting with a foster home or shelter volunteer, to help find the perfect bunny for you!

Remember, when you adopt from HRS, you are helping two bunnies; the one you take home, and the one we are able to pull from a shelter and into foster care, to fill the newly opened space.

DONATE YOUR OLD CAR
TO ANIMAL RESCUE
Looking for a tax deduction or to clear that old junker out of your driveway? Think of HRS and donate your old car to help us help the bunnies. San Diego HRS is partnering with the San Diego Animal Support Foundation and its Car Donation Program. Donate your car to the foundation, get a receipt for your taxes, and ask them to "give the money to the bunnies!" All funds from the car donation program go to animal rescue programs in San Diego County. Learn more!

BUNNYFEST 2008
This year's Bunnyfest is SATURDAY, Sept. 27, at Heritage Park in Old Town, San Diego. The day's fun will include a Raffle, Kidz Korner, Photo Contest, vendors with bunny-theme gifts and supplies, and a whole lot more! Get all the details!

San Diego HRS has expanded its Bunny Store and added a new Adoption Center. Come by to visit us to see our new digs! We'll have light refreshments and some wonderful rabbit youngsters available for adoption. Pick up hay and supplies and visit with other bunny lovers. Adoptable Rabbits at this event.

SAN DIEGO HRS TEAMS UP WITH COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES
Adoption Event for Rabbits Rescued in Cruelty Investigation
San Diego House Rabbit Society has partnered with County Animal Services to help find homes for more than 50 rabbits in their care, as a result of a cruelty investigation. An adoption event is set for Sun, Sept 14, Noon- 4 p.m. at the SDHRS Adoption Center, 4805 Mercury Street, Suite C, in Kearny Mesa. Get the details.

Help us help these rescued rabbits. SDHRS is covering the cost of spay/neuter for these rabbits so they can become adoptable. Please donate to help us with these costs.

VOLUNTEER WITH SAN DIEGO HRS
San Diego HRS has MANY volunteer needs including Foster Home Assistants, Bunny Cuddler's, Hay Elves, Bunny Nail Trimmers, Office Helpers, Supplies Transporters, Shelter Volunteers and more! We will match you with a volunteer position that fits your skills and interests. Training is provided.

We have opportunities for Parents and Children to volunteer together, for Seniors, and for those who need to complete mandatory service hours (picking up supplies and helping with hay is perfect for this). We have occasional opportunities such as Education Events and many regular, ongoing needs.

NEED A NEW HOME
FOR YOUR BUNNY?
If you adopted a rabbit from HRS (check your adoption contract) and cannot keep it, please contact us at hrs@sandiegorabbits.org.

If your rabbit came from another source, find out what you can do to place your rabbit in a new home. This article will help you with screening questions, and websites where you can post your rabbit for adoption.

All San Diego area shelters have rabbit adoption programs; most are assisted by HRS in finding homes for their rabbits. If you have found a stray rabbit, contact your local shelter to turn the bunny in so they can find its owner or it can get adopted into a new home.
